Theft
Deputies responded to a Shoally Branch Road, Leoma home Friday where the victim reported someone had stolen four Pontiac Grand Am wheels and tires from the garage area of the property. He said the crime had occurred during the previous night or morning hours. Loss was said to be $700.
Vandalism
Deputies were dispatched to a Locker Road, Summertown residence Friday where the complainant reported that his mother’s yard had been vandalized. He reported that the yard had been forked and rolled with toilet paper, and his porch had been wrapped with Saran wrap. He estimated damages at around $100.
Vehicle burglary
An Alabama resident filed a complaint with deputies early Saturday morning regarding the burglary of her truck. She said that she had been inside Cowpen Bar and Grill, returning to find her passenger side window broken out. She said her purse, wallet, and contents were stolen, including her checkbook. A cell phone and GPS device were left untouched on the floorboard. She said loss was around $100. Damages to the truck were not listed.
Vehicle burglary
A Lawrenceburg woman reported to police officers last week that after shopping at several local businesses she discovered that someone had stolen her prescription medications out of her vehicle. She said it appeared that the person responsible had reached through the window to grab the bottles. Loss was around $12.
Shoplifting
Loss prevention officers at Walmart reported to police officers that a nineteen-year-old Lewisburg woman and a twenty-five-year-old Mt. Pleasant man were seen attempting to leave the store with a shopping cart containing $110.20 worth of merchandise. They said the pair attempted to leave via a closed register.
Shoplifting
Walmart asset protection personnel reported to police officers last week that a couple had been observed selecting $48.94 worth of merchandise, then exiting through a self-checkout area without paying for the items.
Shoplifting
Police officers issued citations to a Goodhope Road resident last week after Walmart security personnel reported that she had been caught shoplifting. Stevy Teresa Hall, age 26, told officers she had not known that the items were in her possession after she paid for some other items. Their value was said to be $11.95. She was issued a citation for shoplifting with an appearance in General Sessions Court set for February 22.
