Meat, Household Items Stolen From Church
Meat and household items were stolen when a burglar left considerable damages to a local church building during a break-in last week.
Church officials reported that burglars had targeted Pine Grove Baptist Church located at 42 Day Road in Leoma. A pane of glass had been broken out of a door at the point of entry. Pry marks were also found around the door.
Inside, the culprit broke a handle off of a freezer and stole more than $200 worth of meat. Also stolen were peanut butter, laundry detergent, dish detergent, and shampoo. Damages plus loss was said to total in excess of $1,300.
