Vandals Cause Damage To Local Church
On Monday officials with a Lawrence County church reported damage that resulted from a vandalism incident that had occurred the week prior.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that a deputy was dispatched to Unity Church of God, located at 261 Piney Road, Monday morning.
A church member reported that sometime between Thursday, November 13 and Sunday, November 16 an unknown person had spun a vehicle’s tires in the parking lot. He said that the action had thrown rocks onto the walkway. Some of the rocks were thrown through a glass door, resulting in approximately $100 in damage.
