Inmate Awaiting Trial For Murder Transferred To Maury County Jail

A local man who had been housed at the local jail awaiting trial for murder has been transferred to the jail in Maury County.

Both Ricky Lee Houser, 49, of Lawrenceburg and Rachel Kay Bond of Five Points are awaiting trial in connection with the May 2013 death of forty-six year old Oscar “Bob” Davis of Five Points.

Davis was last seen on May 3, 2013 and was reported missing by his sister after he failed to show up for work. His body was recovered in a wooded area eight days later.

Both Houser and Bond have been incarcerated at the Lawrence County Detention Center since their arrests. Authorities report that Houser was moved to the Maury County facility in order to separate the co-defendants.

Trial for Houser and Bond is currently scheduled to get underway on February 3, 2015. Houser faces charges of first degree murder, felony murder, and aggravated robbery. Bond is charged with criminal responsibility for first degree murder.
