Press release from Chamber

The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce announced today that Daniel Webb submitted his letter of resignation after serving six years with the Chamber, four of those years as president.

Webb will remain in his current position until the end of the year. “I want to stay and see some of the projects we have been working on through to completion,” he explained.

“This is a bittersweet decision for me. I love Lawrence County and the people here. It’s my home! However, I have been offered an opportunity for personal and professional growth that I can’t pass up. I will miss working in Lawrence County on a day-to-day basis; however, the position I am accepting will allow me to continue working with Lawrence County’s economic development team, which is where my primary interest is,” Daniel stated.

During Webb’s tenure as president, the Chamber has celebrated many accomplishments:

Webb stated, “I have been privileged to work with wonderful people who have supported me and helped me over the years. It takes a team to run a chamber, and I have a great team of people—the Chamber board members as well as the Chamber staff—who are dedicated to the success of Lawrence County. I am extremely grateful for the time I have spent at the Chamber.”

The Chamber’s board of directors is working on a plan for the future as Clint Evers, chairman of the board, explained, “We are in the process of developing a strategy for the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce to keep the positive momentum going once Daniel makes his exit. We regret losing Daniel, but we understand and support his decision. We wish him well and look forward to the opportunity to continue working with him in a new capacity.”
