Irate Customer Causes Ruckus At Post Office

A man who became irate when he did not receive his desired service at the Lawrenceburg Post Office is asked not to return.

Just before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched on a disorderly conduct call to the U.S. Postal Service building on North Military Avenue.

An employee reported that a forty-five year old resident of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee had become upset when he did not receive the service he had requested.

She said that she had walked around to the exterior door to apologize for the problem when the man began cursing at her and making gestures that led her to believe he was going to strike her.

A witness who confirmed the statement told officers that she had believed that the employee was in danger of injury so she went to get help. The man then left the premises.

Postal employees requested that the officer notify the man that he was not to come back onto the property. The officer attempted to do so but was unable to make contact.

The employees told officers that the man would be sent a certified letter, requesting that he refrain from entering the premises in the future.
