Early Voting Period For November Election Begins Wednesday 

    The early voting period for the November 4 State and Federal General Elections, as well as the Lawrenceburg and Saint Joseph City Elections, gets underway on Wednesday.

    The two week early voting period begins on Wednesday, October 15 and runs through Thursday, October 30.

    Locally three seats will appear on the ballot for the City of Lawrenceburg election, including two council seats and that of mayor, while Saint Joseph voters will be asked to select two members to serve on that city’s Board of Commissioners.

    At the state level voters will select from candidates vying for U.S. Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, U.S. Representative, State Senator, and State Representative.     To participate in early voting stop by the offices of the Lawrence County Election Commission on Centennial Boulevard between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

    State law requires that voters present a photo ID whether voting during the early voting period or at the polls on Election Day.
