Passerby Makes Off With Wayward Bubble Wrap

A local businessman filed a complaint with authorities, indicating that a passing motorist had made off with a large roll of bubble wrap Saturday.

Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were called midday to B&B Construction, located at the Buffalo/Redhill Center Road crossroads. The owner reported that he had found that a large roll of bubble wrap was missing from the business.

The owner told deputies that while reviewing footage from his security system he discovered that the wind had blown the bubble wrap causing it to come to rest beside the roadway.

He said shortly afterward the driver of a black, extended cab, Chevrolet S-10 truck had stopped, picked up the roll, then drove away. The incident had occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. the previous day.

The victim was able to provide deputies with a fairly detailed description of the truck, indicating that the driver frequently travels along Buffalo Road. Loss is approximately $150. Investigation is on-going at the present time.
