Repo Man Finds Vehicle Has Been Trashed

A man who had been tasked with collecting a vehicle after the buyer failed to make the required payments told law enforcement officials that he discovered that extensive damages had been inflicted.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that the buyer had failed to make payments on the 1998 Mercury Mountaineer, purchased through lot financing at Massey Motors.

The victim told officers that he had attempted to contact the buyer several times but had been unsuccessful. He learned that the buyer had moved and went to his new address where he found the severely damaged vehicle.

Taillights had been busted on the vehicle, the battery was missing, the tires were flat, and the interior was torn apart. A neighbor said that he had seen the buyer vandalizing the vehicle with a hammer.

Loss in the case has been estimated at $1,500.
