Member Finds That Church Bus Has Been Vandalized
Law enforcement officials were contacted by a member of a Pulaski Highway church Sunday morning after a member discovered that vandals had targeted a church bus on the property.
The member told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that he had arrived early that morning at New Prospect Baptist Church, and decided to let his granddaughter ride her bicycle around the shelter where the church bus was parked. As they approached, he said the noticed some rocks lying on the concrete.
The church member investigated further and found that vandals had thrown multiple rocks into the side of the bus, damaging the paint and breaking one window. Damages were estimated to total $2,000.
