Burglar Opens Door, Steals Purse While Resident Cooks
A Lawrenceburg woman asked that police officers open an investigation last week after someone took her purse from inside her home while she was cooking.
The victim reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers that she had heard the front door of her Mahr Avenue home open, then close while she was cooking around 3:00 p.m. She said she had thought that it was likely her neighbor coming for a visit, but that when she looked no one was around.
The victim said that her purse had been sitting on the floor, just inside the doorway. After a short time she realized that it was missing.
The victim said that she had spoken with some neighbors, but that no one reported seeing anyone enter her home.
Loss is approximately $61.
