Sheriff’s Department Urges Residents To Be Cautious Of Suspicious Van
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement Wednesday evening in response to various recent reports regarding suspicious activities of individuals traveling the area in a white van.
Several individuals have reported that they believed the occupants may be involved in some sort of scam or fraud attempt.
They reported that the occupants approached them, asking them to purchase products.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has been made aware of the white van traveling within Lawrence County and the City of Lawrenceburg in a supposed effort to sell products.
It is unclear at this time if this is a scam, a rouse to gain entry into homes or a legitimate sales effort but citizens are urged to use caution if approached and make every effort to verify their legitimacy.
Law requires them to obtain a permit and at this time no permit has been procured by these individuals. If you have a concern, do not hesitate to contact law enforcement and you have every right to deny access to your home and property.
