Burglary incidents in Lawrenceburg are being investigated

Recent burglary incidents reported by Lawrenceburg residents are currently under investigation through the Lawrenceburg Police Department. Last Sunday, officers were called to a home on Fourth Street where the resident said that someone had broken into her home while she was at a bar.

She told officers that the person responsible for the burglary had stolen her prescription medications which she kept in a plastic bag, tucked away in a dresser drawer. According to police reports, officers found no sign of forced entry.

The victim estimatedher loss to be $150.In the second incident officers responded to a home in Leoma on Monday where the owner’s daughter reported the burglary.

She said that they had a China cabinet against the back door and that the burglar had pushed it out of the way, knocking the dishes to the floor and breaking them. She had found the back door standing open when she arrived. She said damages totaled approximately $200.
