Recent Burglaries Are Under Investigation

   Local law enforcement officials have been asked to investigate a number of burglaries at homes and businesses in Lawrenceburg recently.

   On Sunday Lawrenceburg Police officers were sent to a home on Beckham Avenue where the residents reported they had returned from church services to find that their home had been burglarized.

Reports show that the culprit first attempted to pry open the front door, ultimately resorting to breaking the glass on the back door.

The victims said all that appeared to be missing was a small wooden jewelry box that contained a pair of gold and diamond earrings and thirty old coins. Loss and damages totaled around $600.

   Officers investigated a burglary at a home located on Old Florence Road the same day. There, the victim reported that a Jasmine guitar had been stolen along with a mandolin and two Playstation game systems. Total loss was $500.

   Police officers were asked to investigate a burglary at Hood-Flora Realty that resulted in an approximate $1,320 loss. The person responsible entered by breaking a rear window.

Ten collectible pipes were stolen off of a desk and a box of change inside the desk was also missing. A computer and a television were vandalized during the commission of the crime.

   Burglars also targeted a beauty salon on North Locust Avenue that date. Employees of Hello Gorgeous reported that thieves gained entry through a rear door.

Inside, a cabinet door was vandalized and the back room left in a state of disarray. Nothing appeared to be missing however damages were assessed at $100.
