BOLO Results In DUI, Contributing Charges

A traffic stop that was made after a BOLO was issued last weekend resulted in charges of driving under the influence of an intoxicant and contributing to the delinquency of a minor being issued against a Lawrenceburg man.

A Lawrenceburg Police officer, watchful due to the BOLO alert, made the stop late Saturday after watching as the driver failed to stop at two separate intersections.

Although it was suspected that driver Albert Allen Hennessy, age 35, of Groh Street, was intoxicated, the reporting officer indicates that he performed satisfactorily on field sobriety tests.

He was notified by Lawrence Central Dispatch, however, that Hennessey’s driver’s license had been revoked for DUI. He was subsequently placed under arrest.

The officer reports that passenger Jessica Elizabeth Ganshrnorn, age 19, of Wilkenson Lane, Summertown, had a strong odor of alcohol about her person.

She reportedly admitted that she had been consuming alcoholic beverages. The officer reports that he found two open containers around the passenger seat and a third in the back seat.

Hennessy was jailed at the Lawrence County Detention Center on a charge of driving on a revoked license. He was also issued citations for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, failing to stop at two stop signs, and having no tag light.

Citations were issued to Ganshrnorn on charges of underage possession and underage consumption of alcohol.

Both have been scheduled to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on October 2, 2014.
