Acquaintance Makes Off With Vehicle
Sheriff’s deputies were asked to begin an investigation into a vehicle that was reported stolen Monday night.
The owner, a seventy-two year old resident of Grassy Branch Road, reported to deputies that his minivan had been stolen by an acquaintance.
The victim reported that he and two women he knew had been at his home listening to the radio that evening. He said that one of the women told him that they needed to go to the store and he agreed to take them.
While he was getting up, he said that he heard his minivan start in the driveway. He told deputies that he attempted to chase after the women, but that they sped away.
The van has an estimated value of $2,000. Investigation in the case is currently on-going.
