Trailer Missing After Encounter With Trespassers
A Summertown man told authorities Friday that his trailer had gone missing shortly after he had confronted some trespassers.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were summoned to a property on North Brace Road where the victim reported that his fourteen foot utility trailer had been stolen. He told deputies that the trailer had been secured inside a barn and that the culprit had removed a lock in order to commit the crime.
The victim said that he had noticed two white males at the barn a few days prior, but that they had left quickly once he confronted them about being on the property. He said that they were traveling in a dark colored, full size truck.
The trailer was black in color with white lettering on the front rail. It is valued at $1,225. The owner last saw it the day before the theft.
Anyone who has information regarding the crime is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department at 931-762-3626.
