Driver’s License Left At Scene Of Gas Theft
A clerk at a local market reported to authorities early Saturday that an individual who had left without paying for gasoline had left her driver’s license behind.
Around 6:45 a.m. a deputy with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department was sent to Braziers One Stop on Highway 64 West. A clerk reported that a woman had come into the store earlier, requesting that she turn on the gas pump so she could get gasoline.
The clerk said that she had gotten the woman’s driver’s license to hold until the she paid for her gas. She said that she looked out and noticed that, after pumping $40 worth of gas, a male subject in the vehicle drove away.
Investigation in the case is currently on-going.
