Tuesday Crime Report

Theft

A resident of Bonee Road reported to sheriff's deputies last week that between 5:00 p.m. on August 9 and 8:30 a.m. on August 21 someone stole a black, twelve foot, single axle trailer from beside her shop building. The trailer had both a side and tail gate and with several Home Depot stickers on it. It also had two motorcycle chalks bolted to the front. Loss was approximately $2,000.

Theft

An employee of Lawrenceburg Utility Systems reported to deputies last week that copper ground wire had been stolen off of utility poles along North Old Military, Stephenson, and Dukes Park Roads in Summertown. He said the person responsible cut the wire at the ground and as high as the person could reach. The wire was cut from around twenty different poles resulting in a loss of $2,000.

Vandalism

A resident reported Saturday evening that while she was inside the Dollar General Store in Summertown someone vandalized her truck. The victim reported to deputies that she had entered the store around 6:45 p.m. and when she returned to her truck she found that her left rear tire was flat. Damages were estimated at $150.

Burglary

Police officers investigated the theft of a Glock handgun from a truck belonging to a resident of Sundown Drive last week. The victim reported that he had last seen the gun inside the vehicle the previous day. It has a value of approximately $700.

Vandalism

An officer on patrol inside Rotary Park Saturday evening reports discovering that one of the food booths had been burglarized. A door had been kicked open, resulting in $75 worth of damage. A footprint was found on the door. The on-call personnel at the park reported noticing a suspicious person in the vicinity shortly before.

Theft

On Friday police officers were asked to investigate when a man reported his cell phone had been stolen. He told officers that he had inadvertently left his phone inside a bathroom at Walmart. When he returned, he said the phone was nowhere to be found. Store officials reported that no phone had been turned in. The white Samsung Galaxy S4 was valued at $400.

Theft

Several items were reportedly stolen from outside a Frisbie Avenue apartment last week. The victim reported that a barbeque grill, birdhouse, water hose holder, planter, live plant, and silk plant had been stolen from beside her rear door. She said that the times had gone missing while she was away from home for approximately six hours. Loss is said to be $88.
