Truck Reported Stolen By Summertown Resident
Law enforcement officials began to investigate Wednesday morning after a Summertown resident discovered that her truck had been stolen from outside her home.
The victim requested an investigation through the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department at around 6:30 a.m. She told deputies that her daughter had heard a vehicle sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 the previous night, but had dismissed it because their driveway is often used by motorists to turn around.
The truck is described as a 1993 Chevrolet with a Maury Regional Medical Center employee parking sticker and a tag on front that reads, "Acts 3:28." At the time of the theft, the victim said the truck had been unlocked, with the spare key in the ashtray.
The truck has an estimated value of $1,500.
