Tuesday Crime Report

Fraud

A West Point Road resident reported to police officers that while checking her bank account online, she had noticed fraudulent transactions. One such transaction was $107.59 paid to Happy’s Pizza in Whitehall, Ohio.

Vehicle burglary

Officers were called to an Eighth Street home where the resident reported that someone had stolen her wallet and iPad out of her 2008 Chevrolet SUV. She said the wallet contained her checkbook, $200 cash, gift cards, and various other personal cards and information. Loss was estimated to total $857.

Vehicle burglary

Unknown persons caused nearly $2,000 worth of loss and damage after burglarizing City of Lawrenceburg-owned vehicles and one privately-owned truck left at a facility on Baler Drive. Four flashing light bars were missing from city trucks. In addition, an employee reported that his personal roll off truck had been entered. A small window was broken and the culprit cut a coax and other wires, making off with his CB antenna and kicker.

Vehicle burglary

A resident of North locust Avenue reported more than $500 worth of loss and damage as the result of the burglary of her vehicle. She reported to police officers that someone had cut a hole on the soft top on her 2001 Ford Mustang, taking her brown wallet from inside.

Aggravated burglary

Police officers were dispatched to a Claymar Drive residence where the resident reported that she had arrived home to discover that her apartment smelled of kerosene. She found that a box of oil lamps had been overturned, allowing the kerosene to leak out. She told officers that the intruder had taken six boxes of her belongings from beneath a pile of blankets in her closet. She said the boxes contained glassware and a set of U.S. state quarters. Total loss was estimated at $890.
