Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council are scheduled to consider a lengthy agenda during their August 14 meeting, including guidelines and fees associated with yard/garage sales and the city’s proposed 2014-2015 fiscal year budget.

The panel is asked to approve budget amendments for the 2013-2014 fiscal year along with two ordinances to amend the city's Personnel Rules and Regulations. One involves education reimbursement/training, the other the city's travel policy.

Ordinance number 1143 is for the council to, "Fix the time of a non-refundable reservation fee of $30 per day for use of the City of Lawrenceburg Municipal Auditorium."

All of the ordinances are being presented for first reading.

Also on the agenda are five resolutions. The first is to request bids on projects related to the city's Babe Ruth Field inside Bobby Brewer Memorial Park. A second resolution is to, "Amend the previous agreement with Jerry W, Reynolds (architect) for the design and other services associated in the building of a press box and concession stand changing the agreement to:  the building of concessions restroom building at the Lawrenceburg Babe Ruth Baseball Field."

Council members are asked to reappoint Jay Piovarcy to the Lawrenceburg Historical Zoning Commission.

One resolution would allow the city to participate in the, "Tennessee Municipal League Risk Management Pool Drivers Safety Matching Grant Program for 100% reimbursement for motor vehicle registration checks up to $4,000."

The last item on the agenda is a resolution for the city to enter into an agreement with Business Information Services (BIS) for web access to pay property taxes by credit card, debit card, or e-checks.

Council members will consider approval of each item during their meeting Thursday, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. The meeting, open to the public, will be held inside the Council Meeting Room at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square.
