Loretto High School Band to perform 2016 Nashville Christmas Parade
Due to the numerous accomplishments over the past few years, the officials with Under the Sun Productions, Inc., have invited the Loretto High School Band to perform at the 2016 Nashville Christmas Parade set for December 3, 2016 at 9:00 AM.
This will be 63 years for the Nashville Christmas Parade and this year the parade will now be televised on national television. The parade will travel down the “Musical Mile”. The parade route will be flanked by hundreds of spectators anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus.
Band director Darrell Boston applied for the parade in early July. The application process included a description of the band’s uniforms, awards/recognition’s and other performances including videos, band resume and a biography of the overall band program.
Mr. Boston stated, “I am also proud to announce that the Loretto High School Cheerleaders will once again be joining us for the parade performance. I am thrilled to have our cheerleaders performing with us.
They really add to the over effect with their lighted snowflakes outlining the band.” Mr. Boston and cheer coach Christy Wilson would like to say how proud they are to represent the community of Loretto, the students and staff of Loretto High School, and all the citizens of Lawrence County in the Nashville Christmas parade.
