Animal Hospital Targeted In Sunday Burglary

Police officers responded to a local animal hospital Sunday after intruders tripped a burglar alarm.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were sent to Shoal Creek Animal Hospital at around 5:15 p.m. A chair was found beneath a window on the north side of the building. The window had been forced open and broken.

A check of the building revealed that nothing appeared to be missing. Damages were assessed at just over $100.

Inside the building, reports show that officers found a single purple flip flop. They report that they were aware that other officers had responded to an attempted burglary with a female suspect.

When they contacted the other officers they were able to find the matching flip flop in the floorboard of the second victim's car.

As a result of the investigation Louanne Marie Armstrong, 41, of 2325 Rose Hill Road, Pulaski was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where she was booked on burglary charges.

Armstrong was scheduled an initial appearance in General Sessions Court on September 5, 2014.
