Reward Offered For Information In Friday Arson Fire

A reward is being offered for information related to a fire at a Five Points structure Friday that has been deemed arson.

Detectives with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report that emergency personnel were dispatched to a fire at 149 Five Points Road. Once at the scene, assistance was requested from investigators with the Lawrenceburg Fire Department.

During the ensuing investigation it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set, apparently ignited to mask a burglary. They report that items had been removed from the structure before the fire was set.

As a result of the incident authorities report that the property owner is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff’s department at 931-762-3626, or the Criminal Investigation Division directly at 931-762-1608.
