Thefts Reported From Downtown Business

The owner of a downtown business requested that an investigation be undertaken last week after discovering that some items had been stolen.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were called to New Moon Antiques on the Public Square.

The owner told officers that while walking through the business earlier he had noticed that several items appeared to be missing from a booth inside the store.

The booth, he said, is rented by a Summertown resident. He said that he called her to see whether she had taken the items, but that she said she had not.

Missing were signs, thermometers, and a 1951 Tennessee car tag. Altogether, the owner reported the items had a value of $1,000.
