Tuesday Crime Report

Aggravated burglary

Early Monday a Fourth Street resident reported to police officers that he had returned home around 3:15 a.m. to find that someone had stolen his 56" LG television. No sign of forced entry was noted. Loss is estimated at $900.

Theft

A Third Street resident reported Sunday that a visitor to his home had stolen the money out of his wallet. He reported that while the man was at his home he had gone to the bathroom and emptied his pockets into his work hat. He said that when he came out the man walked outside, got into a vehicle with another man, and left. He said that he checked his wallet and discovered that C$280 was missing.

Theft

Officers were sent to a Captain avenue home Sunday afternoon where the resident reported that two bicycles had been stolen. Both were made in the 1970s. One was a Sears and Roebuck brand, the other a Flying-O. Loss is said to be $200.

Theft

A Holtsford Street resident reported to police officers Sunday that two propane tanks that had been hooked to his home, had been stolen. He said that the tanks, the type used or gas grills, had gone missing between noon on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. Sunday. They had an estimated value of $100.

Theft

A resident of Clayton Street reported last week that her son's Honda 50 motorcycle had been stolen, resulting in a $500 loss. She said that motorcycle had been left on the carport.

Vandalism

On Saturday officers were called to a Fourth Street home where the resident reported someone had knocked over some bricks around a flower bed. Some of the bricks were damaged, resulting in an approximate $10 loss. She said that this was about the eighth time that this had happened.

Theft

A Prosser Road resident reported a $400 loss Saturday when two cell phones went missing from his home. He told officers that his son's girlfriend had moved her belongings out earlier in the day and that she had been the only person inside the home.

Theft

A report filed by a Leoma resident Saturday indicated that her prescription medication was stolen while she was returning an electric shopping cart. She said that she had the prescription filled prior to picking up some items inside the store. She said that she placed the medication inside her purse. She said that she believed the medicine was stolen from her purse when she bent over to plug the cart in to recharge. She estimated her loss to be $50.
