Wednesday Crime Report

Burglary

Officer investigate the burglary of an outbuilding at a Seventh Street home Saturday. The victim reported that fishing equipment valued at $620 was missing. No signs of forced entry were noted.

Vandalism

An employee of a Lawrenceburg veterinarian's office reported vandalism at the business last week. He reported that a window had been broken, resulting in an approximate $100 worth of damage.

Theft

A resident of Liberty Avenue reported to officers Monday that someone had entered her home and stole some of her medications. She said that a prescription bottle was moved from atop her dresser to beneath her bed. She said that some of her pills had gone missing the previous month, as well, but that she thought she had miscounted.

Vandalism

When officers were called to take a report of a motor vehicle accident in a parking lot last week, they found that the damage had apparently not resulted form a collision. Offices told the Collinwood resident that it appeared the damage on the hatch of her 2005 Chevrolet Venture had resulted from an impact from a blunt object. The victim said the damage had occurred during a forty-five minute period when she was inside a store.

Shoplifting

Last week security personnel at Walmart reported to officers that a man had stolen a cart load of Prilosec and Advil PM. The said that the man had placed several shirts around the sides of the cart to obscure the view, then took a backpack and headed to the Pharmacy area. They said he placed the medications in the cart, pushed the cart to a toy aisle where he placed them into a Walmart bag he had on his person. He then took the bag and walked out of the store, leaving in an older model red or maroon Ford Explorer. They report finding the backpack on a shelf full of empty boxes. Loss is said to be around $190.

Theft

A Mt. Horeb Road, Ethridge, resident reported to deputies Sunday that some carpet had been stolen from outside of her house. A neighbor reported seeing a man pull up at the house and load some things into the vehicle before driving away. Loss was estimated t $750.
