Report Made Of Finance Company Employees Illegally Entering Home

A Lawrenceburg woman filed a complaint with Lawrenceburg Police officers on Friday, indicating that employees of a local finance company had illegally entered her home.

The twenty-five year old victim told officers that the incident had occurred the previous day. She explained that her boyfriend has a personal loan through the finance company, but that her name is not tied to the loan.

She said that some items inside their apartment had been listed for collateral. She told officers that a few days prior her boyfriend had received a letter from the finance company, indicating that he had to pay the sum of $116.50 on or before June 30.

The victim reported that she had been home alone on Thursday when two women knocked on the door. She said that she had recognized one of the women as an employee of the finance company. She said that since the loan was not hers and her boyfriend was not home she had opted not to answer the door.

The victim reported that she heard a key being placed into the lock and her apartment door began to open. She said she confronted the women as they opened the door and that they, “Appeared shocked that she was home.” She said the women left a note for her boyfriend, then left.

According to the victim she checked with both her boyfriend and landlord and both denied having given the women a key. She told them that her landlord, “Was upset that a key to her property is out in the community.”

Investigation in the matter is on-going at the current time.
