Summertown High School's FCCLA
Summertown High School students competed at the state Star Event competition April12 at Opryland hotel.
Koral Bryant, Mary-Beth Pigg, and Faith Austin, members of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), competed in the Entrepreneurship category.
The students were required to choose a type of business and create a business plan; they created a business called FMK Interior Designs.
The business plan consisted of a sixty three page document including information on the following ten sections: business description, funding for business, budget, facility, laws and codes, personnel, advertising and recruitment, organizational chart, supplies and equipment, and references.
Koral, Mary-Beth, and Faith competed against students from all over the state of Tennessee and planced first, advancing to the National Star Event competition held in Anaheim, California in July.
Congratulations to SHS FCCLA students for a job well done. Good luck at the Nationals!
