Authorities Seeking Whereabouts Of Armed Robbery Suspect
Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in determining the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with crimes reported in the Amish community Tuesday.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department officials indicate that three separate crimes involving members of the Amish community in Ethridge were reported in a short period of time.
Deputies first responded to a property on Waterfork Road where a man reported he had been robbed by an armed robber. Almost immediately they were called to the scene of a hit and run incident during which a car forced an Amish buggy off of the roadway.
Shortly afterwards they were called to the Dooley Road/Campbellsville Pike area where a second Amish man had been robbed at gunpoint.
While deputies were speaking with him he pointed out the suspect vehicle and deputies began attempts to conduct a traffic stop.
The driver refused to yield to deputies, fleeing to an area on Anderson Creek Road in Giles County. When they located the vehicle they report that the driver had fled, abandoning the vehicle and one occupant.
The woman in the vehicle, identified as Stacey Renee Hancock, 36, of 30 Lyons Lane, Ethridge was detained. Investigators were able to determine that she was a participant in the crimes.
She was then arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where she was incarcerated without bond.
A male suspect has been identified as Jason Matthew Judkins, age 30, also of 30 Lyons Lane, Ethridge. Friday afternoon authorities issued a statement indicating that he was still at large and is to be considered “armed and dangerous.”
Judkins currently has active warrants charging him with multiple counts of aggravated robbery.
Authorities report that a third individual is a person of interest in the case. The whereabouts of that person are being sought, as well.
Additional charges area expected against all of the suspects.
