Victim Says Assailant Crouched Behind Vehicles

The victim of a parking lot assault told authorities last weekend that her assailant had concealed herself behind some vehicles.

According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to Goody’s on North Locust Avenue just after the assault occurred.

The victim, age 44, reported that she had been shopping at around 10:45 a.m. As she was walking back to her car, she said she noticed that someone had crouched behind some nearby vehicles. She said that the person lunged at her and began to assault her.

The victim told officers that she dropped her bags in order to free her hands to defend herself. After a short time she said the woman ran to her vehicle and fled from the parking lot.

She said that she walked to her own vehicle and found that the valve stems had been removed from three of her tires, resulting in damage.

Reports show that the victim did recognize her attacker. She identified her as the woman her boyfriend had formerly been dating. She told deputies that she had had problems with the woman in the past.

Investigation in the case is continuing at the present time.
