Tuesday Crime Report

Theft

Deputies investigated a theft at a home on Highway 20 in Summertown Saturday. The resident reported that someone had stolen the license plate from her car, then replaced the screws. She told deputies she was uncertain where or when the crime occurred. Loss was approximately $50.

Vandalism

Deputies responded to 10 Cave Man Road in Summertown on Sunday after a resident discovered her car had been vandalized. The victim, age 63, reported that someone had shattered the windshield on her 2002 Chevrolet Malibu during the previous night. The deputy noted a small round dent and chip in the pain on the passenger side door that also resulted during the vandalism. He noted that it appeared that the door had been shot with a BB gun. The victim said this was the second time her car had been vandalized during a two week period. Damage was estimated at $650.

Vandalism

Deputies investigated the vandalism of a 2000 Dodge Dakota on Sunday at a residence on Highway 20 in Summertown. The resident told deputies that the driver’s side window had been shattered, possibly with a BB gun. He said that his wallet and knives were inside the truck, but were left undisturbed. He told deputies that he had noticed some teenage boys riding bicycles in front of his home the previous evening, but did not know whether they were involved.

Theft

A resident of Dogwood Lane in Leoma spoke with deputies Sunday, reporting that someone had stolen her medications. The victim reported that bottles of metoprolol, morphine, lortabs, and aspirin were missing. Loss was approximately $360. Deputies are investigating the possibility that a relative was involved.
