Child Returns From School To Find Burglars Inside House
Law enforcement officers were called upon to investigate Tuesday after a child returned from school to find burglars were inside his grandmother’s house.
The victim, age 11, reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that he had initially went into the house, but then went back outside to talk to his cousin, age 15.
He said that after six or seven minutes he went back inside and found two white females standing in the living room.
When they spotted the boy, he said they fled through the dining room, out the back door, and into a wooded area at the rear of the residence. The cousin told officers that she witnessed the incident, as well.
The females were described as in their 20s, about 5’6” tall with slim builds. One was wearing a red shirt, the other black.
The resident told officers that nothing appeared to be missing but that a TV and chairs had been overturned.
