Tuesday Crime Report
Theft
A property owner stopped by the sheriff’s department Friday to report that items had been stolen from her Gillespie Road, Five Points rental property. The victim reported that a renter had moved out, apparently taking with him her refrigerator and six sheets of paneling. She estimated her loss to be around $600.
Burglary
Deputies were called to a Buffalo Road home on Friday after a property owner discovered that her property had been burglarized. The victim said that the home had been vacant for some time. She said she checked on the house and found that the glass on both the front and rear doors had been broken. She said that she found a large rock lying on the floor next to the back door. Nothing appeared to be missing and no other damages were identified at that time. Loss was approximately $500.
