Authorities Make Arrest In Meth Trafficking Case
Authorities report that an arrest has been made in a joint investigation into local methamphetamine trafficking and distribution.
A press release issued Wednesday shows that fifty-one year old Kip Charles Bonner was arrested on January 22 after agents with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s and Lawrenceburg Police Departments executed a search warrant at his 69 Martin Road home.
They report that when they entered the home, Bonner was attempting to flush narcotics down the toilet. They found five ounces of meth in the bathroom where he was allegedly in the process of packaging it for resale.
Along with the meth, agents report seizing prescription medications, twenty-eight Suboxone strips, various items of drug paraphernalia, two handguns, a pistol grip shotgun, a rifle, and $5,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.
Bonner was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where he was booked under charges that include possession of Schedule II narcotics (meth and Suboxone) for the purpose of resale, possession of schedule IV narcotics (Xanax) for the purpose of resale, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following his arrest Bonner was released from custody after posting a bond of $47,000.
