Brother Arrested After Making Threats With Knife
Authorities arrested a Lawrenceburg man Sunday after he allegedly threatened his brother with a knife during a domestic altercation.
Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers responded to intervene in the fight at a home on Hoover Street at around 4:30 p.m.
When they confronted Trevour Donovan Harcrow, age 27, they report finding that he had a knife on his person.
Harcrow’s brother reported that he had been staying with his family since his release from jail approximately one month before. The brother said that he had told Harcrow’s girlfriend not to come to their house any more, and that this had angered him. He said that Harcrow had come to their house, kicked the door open, and confronted him.
During the confrontation, the brother said Harcrow pulled out the knife, opened it, then threatened to “cut him.” He told officers that Harcrow had been drinking and began to pour beer onto the living room floor.
The reporting officer indicates that evidence was found at the scene that supported the brother’s accusations. As he approached Harcrow, who was with another officer at the time, the reporting officer says that he was making threats to “get out of jail and burn the house down.”
The officer reports that, “Due to supporting evidence and (Harcrow’s) excited utterance,” he was taken into custody. Harcrow was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where he was booked under charges of aggravated assault. He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
At the time of his arrest, reports indicate Harcrow had been on county probation. He will be required to answer the charges in General Sessions Court on February 9, 2015.
